WB TET 2022: West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu has said that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam for the recruitment of school teachers in the state will be conducted in two months. The written TET exam will be held in the second week of December 2022. “The exam date will be announced after a meeting between me and the officials of the Primary Education Board before the third week of October,” Bratya Basu said.
Finally that date has been announced. Date of WB TET has been finalized as 11 December 2022 by concerned authorities. Further details regarding release of application forms will be given by WBBPE after 14th October this year. West Bengal TET Exam will be conducted for the candidates who are willing to teach Class 1 to 5 in various Government Primary Schools/Basic Primary Schools in West Bengal. The exam will be held on the same day i.e. 11/12/22 across the state. Eligibility criteria and application fee details for the upcoming exam are available in the next section of this post.
Application window is opening or can be applied from 14/10/2022 onwards. Exam date 11/12/2022. To be able to apply for the WB Teacher Eligibility Test for Primary Teachers, candidates must possess any of the following educational qualifications:
Senior Secondary/Equivalent (Not less than 50% for UR, 45% for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) + Diploma in Elementary Education. Senior Secondary/Equivalent (Not less than 50% for UR, 45% for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) + B.El.Ed Degree.
Senior Secondary/Equivalent (Not less than 50% for UR, 45% for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) + Diploma in Special Education (approved by RCI). Must be Graduation Degree (not less than 50%) + B.Ed.
Candidates should be able to teach in any one of Nepali/ Hindi/ Bengali/ Urdu/ Saotali/ Oriya/ Telugu language while English is second language. Candidates should be between 18 years to 40 years of age to be eligible to appear in the exam, as per previous year records. WBBPE has not yet notified the age limit details for the 2022 exam.
